24 January, 2024, Oslo Norway – The Norwegian Indie game developer Ananki Game Studio sends a big tribute to the Norse Mythology. Their upcoming game The Fate of Baldr is inspired by the myth of the old legends.

The Norse Mythology refers to the Scandinavian framework that took place around the viking age (year 790 – 1100). The mythology is the overall term for myth, legends of supernatural beings that were related to the pre-christian Nordic religion.

The old Norse practiced a polytheistic religion. Ananki Game Studio is an indie game development studio with 3 full time employees based in Oslo, Norway. The team consists of André (CEO/programmer), Asia (2d artist) and Anders (3d artist/programmer). Each of them have 10+ years of prior experience with programming, 2D art and 3D modeling. Fans of the genre will be thrilled to unravel the mysteries hidden within a grand and lavish mansion and its set of puzzle boxes.

‘Boxes: Lost Fragments’ is designed to immerse players in a cryptic atmosphere, intricate machinery, beautiful 3D graphics, and seamless controls rivaling the finest escape room games. The game unfolds across five chapters, each tied to distinct sections of the mansion. The player steps into the shoes of a legendary thief, who must solve a series of unique puzzle boxes to escape.

During production, the developers received critical feedback from their community that played the game’s Steam demo. This resulted in significant expansion, introducing a new game mode and more challenging puzzles. The final product reflects not only the dedication of the team but also the invaluable input from their fans, creating a more immersive and satisfying experience.
